Associate Billing Analyst

The Associate Billing Control Analyst position acts as an overseer, a consultant and key business partner to our FundsNetwork, FIAM, Clearing and Custody Business partners and Billing team and liaisons with the Risk and Compliance professionals with the overall goal of ensuring a high level of accuracy in billing and compliance with key controls.

The billing unit within Fidelity Institutional business group supports relationship management teams, client service teams, pricing and sales teams, and various product teams. Candidates are responsible for timely review of key control steps within the process, validation of accuracy in billing set up and working with product teams on upstream data validation.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree Required (Finance/Accounting Preferred)
  • 1-3 Years of financial services and/or operations experience
  • A self-starter and team player who works collaboratively to achieve the team’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with your ability to influence others across the company and build relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with your ability to quickly understand complex issues
  • Ability to innovate and understand the importance of process improvement and time management
  • Your ability and flexibility to manage multiple priorities, and deliverables while maintaining deadlines
  • Your solid knowledge of financial tools (Excel, Access, Business Objects).
  • Excellent written and oral communication, particularly when discussing complex issues
  • Perform audit and oversight work on key billing activities.
  • Lead or support resolution of identified items including enhancing processes or controls.
  • Identify and deliver process enhancements for the efficient, accurate and timely completion of all activities
  • Provide root cause analysis and insights into issue resolutions
  • Work with business and technology partners to resolve issues
  • Proactive participation & management on various projects/initiatives
  • Provide support for internal and external audit
  • Maintain and update procedure documentation

The Billing Controls team safeguards the accuracy and integrity of all billing processes by performing reconciliations, exception reviews, and audit support while maintaining key control procedures. We manage a wide range of recurring and project-based tasks, partner across departments to resolve issues, and drive process improvements that strengthen financial accuracy and compliance.
