How will you make an impact in this role?

This role will focus on providing support for Market Foundation market migration work within Enterprise Acquisition Products and Platforms (EAPP) following the roles and responsibilities of a Analyst - Product Development. The Market Foundation team is a core part of EAPP, a division of Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions. The Market Foundation Team is responsible for creating world class digital experiences and to drive increased acquisition across the globe. To drive acquisition growth, it is critical that our onboarding journeys are built on flexible, modern platforms that allow for rapid response to regulatory risk or new requirements.

As a Product Owner, you will join a team that develops card member acquisition, application, and enablement experience globally, reaching card members across the full spectrum of digital channels including mobile, email, social and web. This group is nimble and creative, with the power to shape our product roadmap. We are a hard-working, fun-loving team that delivers exciting next-generation capabilities for marketing products and benefits to our customers.

The Analyst -Product Development in the Market Foundation team is responsible for the development and deployment of E-apply, Third Party Vendors, and Global Onboarding & Orchestration (GO2) Features and User Stories. The successful individual ensures that the Product meets the evolving needs of the enterprise through continual innovation, evaluation, and deployment. Requires strong organizational, technical, and creative problem-solving skills. Requires strong multi-business unit stakeholder management. Must work well in a dynamic, complex environment and under deadline pressures. Coordinates the efforts of a scrum team or a set of scrum teams within a SAFE train (stakeholders, designers, developers and analytics) to deploy the new features across markets and products.

The Analyst - Product Development has ultimate responsibility for decision making and prioritization for his backlog working with markets, compliance, marketing, design, and engineering leaders to convert the product vision into a well-managed development roadmap with a set release cycle.

The Analyst - Product Development will report to and assist the Manager - Product Development.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Gather requirements from business stakeholders and dependent systems, and distill down to a clear description of what the team needs to build and test (user story)
  • Write features/stories, acceptance criteria, and business and process flows for each capability that the train and his scrum teams commit to.
  • Participate in and contribute to sessions to design technical solutions.
  • Prioritize work, making difficult tradeoffs, and removing roadblocks and answer business and technical questions for their scrum teams.
  • Maintain team backlog of stories.
  • Develop a test strategy and acceptance criteria for each feature/story.
  • Demonstrate a product mindset by identifying ways of meeting users' needs in a scalable and reusable way that makes sense for the long-term viability and health of the E-apply and GO2 platform.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire a wide range of stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment. These stakeholders include developers, Quality Assurance engineers, architects, marketing teams from various markets, customer service support teams, other systems product managers/developers/ Quality Assurance engineers.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with stakeholders, managing stakeholder communications, and gathering requirements.
  • Develop leadership in the product functional design process based on his knowledge of the E-apply and GO2 systems capabilities and purpose.
  • Leverage data about the GO2 system to drive decision making about what is needed in the GO2 platform.
  • Detailed knowledge of the GO2 Platform and the complex ecosystem it operates in.
  • Understand and leverage the Scaled Agile Framework to advance the goals of his team and his product.

Qualifications & Experience:

A successful candidate will have:

  • 1-3 years in product development and delivery
  • A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with a proven track record of driving digital innovation and business metrics with a customer-first mindset;
  • An established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, Scaled Agile Framework and principles;
  • Must know how to write features and user stories with acceptance criteria;
  • Enthusiasm and passion for great products and services and an ability to articulate product functionality;
  • Understanding of the evolving compliance and regulatory requirements and environment and how to incorporate technology, infrastructure and security requirements into the product design;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment;
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability;
  • An ability to solve complex problems and a highly analytical approach;
  • Experience with platform modernization, API’s and data mapping a plus;
  • CS degree related technical field is ideal.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
