How will you make an impact in this role?
We are seeking an Associate Product Manager to assist in leading the strategy and execution of our Enterprise Data Marketplace and drive the onboarding and lifecycle management of data products. This role will be responsible for enabling self-service data discovery and access, improving data usability, and accelerating time to value for internal consumers while ensuring strong governance, compliance, and data quality standards.
The ideal candidate brings strong product leadership, deep understanding of data platforms and analytics ecosystems, and an enterprise mindset. You will partner closely with technology, data producers, governance, and business stakeholders to modernize data experiences, optimize adoption, and deliver measurable business impact.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the product vision, roadmap, and execution for the Enterprise Data Marketplace, serving as the central hub for discovering, understanding, and consuming enterprise data products.
- Define and operationalize the data product onboarding framework, including standards for metadata, documentation, quality, lineage, ownership, and SLAs.
- Partner with data engineering, platform, and architecture teams to deliver scalable, secure, and user friendly marketplace capabilities (e.g., search, catalog, access workflows, APIs).
- Collaborate with data governance, risk, and compliance teams to embed policy as a product, ensuring regulatory requirements, privacy controls, and access entitlements are seamlessly integrated into the user experience.
- Drive self-service enablement for analysts, data scientists, and application teams by improving discoverability, usability, and trust in data products.
- Establish success metrics (adoption, time to access, data product quality, user satisfaction) and use data driven insights to continuously improve the marketplace.
- Influence and align stakeholders across business units to promote a data as a product operating model and foster a strong data product culture.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to product analysts and associates, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to identify needs, resolve challenges, and drive continuous improvement in product offerings.
- Serve as a key liaison to leadership, preparing and delivering updates on roadmap progress, priorities, and risks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in digital or data product management, with demonstrated ownership of platform, data, or internal enterprise products.
- Strong understanding of data ecosystems, including data lakes/warehouses, metadata management, data catalogs, APIs, and analytics tools.
- Experience building or operating internal data platforms, data products, or data marketplaces is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of data platforms, semantic layers, cloud technologies (Google Cloud Platform preferred), and BI tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Proven ability to work across engineering, governance, and business teams in a highly regulated, large scale enterprise environment.
- Technical fluency to partner effectively with engineering teams and make informed tradeoff decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
- Demonstrated expertise in Agile product management, backlog refinement, and sprint planning.
- Deep understanding of big data platform architecture, data management, and emerging technologies.
Salary Range: $78,000.00 to $124,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
