Our organization
American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payment card issuer for corporations and small businesses with products and services to help them run and grow their business. Within GCS, the GCS and Enterprise Solutions team leads product development on a portfolio of products including consumer and commercial banking, commercial card, marketing capabilities, partner integrations, and the virtual payments platform. The team also leads product design and research across GCS as well as business development initiatives to support our banking scale.

We’re looking for a Digital Product Associate to join our Banking Center of Excellence Regulatory Technology (Reg Tech) team — a high-impact team shaping the future of how banking operates at scale.
About the Role
In this role, you will support the development, delivery, and ongoing management of Banking COE – Reg Tech's capabilities. You’ll also help automate fraud risk reporting, streamline reconciliation, and launch other game-changing capabilities that directly support the Bank’s continued growth. This is your chance to work at the intersection of product, data, technology, and risk management — where every capability you launch will strengthen our regulatory foundation and unlock new opportunities. To boot, you will work in a fun, collaborative team of other product developers dedicated to Banking.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Demonstrate a high degree of accountability for every capability that you manage and bring many cross-functional partners along with you in the development process. By ensuring that key capabilities are clearly documented, solutioned, tested, and deployed, you will directly strengthen the operating environment of American Express National Bank as it continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Requirements & Documentation: Translate business, regulatory, and data requirements into clear functional documentation, including data flows, process maps, and reporting specifications. Maintain product and process documentation to support regulatory readiness, audits, and partner enablement.
- Data & Reporting Analysis: Analyze datasets, transaction flows, and reporting outputs using SQL to identify data quality issues, gaps, and dependencies. Support design and validation of scalable, compliant, and auditable reporting solutions.
Product Delivery Support: Support execution of the Reg Tech product roadmap by tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery status across business and technology teams. Assist with testing coordination, issue tracking, and launch readiness activities. - Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication: Partner with Compliance, Risk, Engineering, Data, Operations, and Banking stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and delivery timelines. Communicate updates, requirements, and delivery status effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in digital banking, product management, product development, or data-driven roles, with strong technical acumen.
- Strong SQL skills, including writing queries, joins, aggregations, and data validation to support reporting, analytics, and regulatory use cases.
- Experience working with structured datasets and basic data transformation, familiarity with data flows and ingestion methods.
- Comfortable partnering with engineering, data, and business stakeholders to define requirements and support delivery.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including documenting requirements, creating data diagrams and explaining details to both technical and non-technical audiences . - Proven self-starter who can independently drive work forward in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to break down complex problems and translate them into scalable data driven solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting U.S. banking regulatory, compliance, or RegTech initiatives, including financial or risk data reporting.
Prior experience in a product management or product development role, particularly in data-heavy or platform-oriented products.
Familiarity with Agile product development methodologies and cross-functional delivery models.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Salary Range: $78,000.00 to $124,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
