Global Risk & Compliance (“GRC”) independently oversees the company’s compliance, risk-taking and risk management activities, including the comprehensive identification, management, and mitigation of risks within the Company’s risk appetite. GRC ensures the company operates in a safe, sound and fully compliant manner within all applicable regulatory expectations. We create and maintain the overall risk management framework while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. The product group within Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) is responsible for building and implementing innovative technology solutions for GRC; owns the vision and roadmap for capabilities, platforms, and modernization efforts

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Analyst Product Owner works with managers and directors to design solutions and strategies using GRC ratified data, predictive and generative AI models, data visualization, and UI development for American Express Global Financial Grimes Compliance. Collaborates with partners on other GRC teams, Financial Crimes Investigations, Data Science, and Technologies to create world-class analytical capabilities and solutions to minimize credit and fraud risk and improve customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead feature and user story definition sessions.
  • Identify product solutions for short term tactical needs and long-term strategy.
  • Establish acceptance criteria, test strategy, and write user acceptance test cases
  • Lead scope prioritization sessions and backlog grooming
  • Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders, business partners, and technology partners.
  • Support governance processes for assigned product(s).

  • Partner with contributing to Scope of product and capabilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years Data Management and/or Product Owner in building and launching products.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information security, Mathematics, Statistics, or any other relevant qualification
  • Proven Track record of Product lifecycle Management, with specific application of Scaled Agile delivery.
  • Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems.
  • Good understanding of iterative development, and Agile principles.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and change.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus to engage, influence, align and encourage partners and business partners across geographies to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Focus on understanding sophisticated business problem and analyze complex data to provide a simplified solution to business partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial Crimes business experience and related solution acumen
  • Experience in Machine Learning model development and deployment into a production environment
  • Experience in Generative AI, prompt engineering concepts, and implementation of GENAI production use cases and governance activities
  • Experience working in low code/no-code environments
  • Ability to evaluate product performance, define KPIs and monitor outcomes
  • Experience in evaluating data quality, performing data governance or implementing reporting tools

Salary Range: $78,000.00 to $113,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
