The Associate Director, Global Logistics Digital Capability Lead manages the deployment of strategic Logistics capabilities and larger continuous improvement efforts in the Warehousing and Distribution area enabling BMS Global Supply Chain (GSC) to deliver on its strategic goals. This individual provides program and project leadership for specific elements of the overall Logistics and 3 PL capability roadmap, ensuring realization of results and business benefits. The lead also collaborates with various stakeholders, including Logistics Pillars, IT, finance, and other GCLs, executing and operationalizing the strategy within specific workstreams, regions, or projects. This individual leverages digital tools and technologies to streamline processes, enhance data accuracy, and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
The Global Logistics Digital Capability lead is responsible for capability deployment specific to the chartered project scope inclusive of People, Process, Technology, and Data for their assigned area of responsibility.
- Leads definition, design and roll-out of strategic Logistics process and system initiatives and related process model and configuration.
- Leads UAT and Cut-over phases for high impact strategic initiatives.
- Establishes and drives design of SAP processes across End-to-End Supply Chain and involving subject matter experts that identify and coordinate validation and related communication to all business functions.
- Creates process documentation including solution presentations and system design documents.
- Creates, Reviews and approves the Integration of SAP and 3PL Sub-systems user acceptance test plans.
- Tracks and reports operational KPIs in alignment with global definitions. Development of metric/KPI specific to project scope for realization/sustainment
- Leads change execution: champions adoption, manages stakeholder resistance, runs readiness sessions.
- Manages relationships with key stakeholders both within & outside of GSC.
- Provides process expertise, as required, and ensures accuracy of accompanying business process models within their capability deployment scope.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, maintaining robust governance and data integrity.
- Mentors team members on new processes and responsible for knowledge transfer to appropriate stakeholders – both within and outside Process Excellence team.
- Leads the implementation of new digital tools and technologies within their department, ensuring seamless integration and adoption. Can articulate the business value and ROI of these digital investments.
- Leads process improvements through digitization and automation of workflows, supporting improved speed and accuracy.
- Leverages visualization and data contextualization tools including BI platforms (e.g. Power BI), integrated Control Tower capabilities, and BMS platforms to monitor KPIs, perform root cause analysis, review best action analysis and provide data-driven decision support.
- Has familiarity with AI and ML systems features including performance & expectation management, optimization, etc.
- Actively upskills on emerging digital technologies and analytics techniques, showing agility in adopting tools and machine learning.
- Has a comprehensive understanding of multiple supply chain processes/capabilities, with a solid understanding of Logistics and 3PL processes and their interdependencies.
- Leads the implementation of new digital tools and technologies within their department, ensuring seamless integration and adoption. Can articulate the business value and ROI of these digital investments.
- Leads risk management activities, implementation of mitigation plans, and escalation to key stakeholders.
- Drives complex problem solutions requiring input across multiple functional areas.
- Informs and influences decision making at governance and departmental level.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Must be capable of driving discussions, resolving conflicts, and building consensus.
- Identifies and implements approaches at program and workstream levels to develop and reward high functioning cross-functional teams.
- Leads scenario analysis to manage potential impact on plans and timelines and recommend changes in strategic direction to stakeholders. Champion strategic options with an unbiased enterprise mindset.
- Creates an environment that fosters recognition and reward of diverse/inclusive high-performance teamwork and BMS Behaviors.
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.S. or BA in supply chain, management, technical field (biotechnology, biology, chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or related disciplines) or data science; a Masters or MBA preferred.
- Advanced certification in Supply Chain Management preferred (e.g. APICS CSCP/ CPIM).
- Operational excellence experience (Green/Black belt or equivalent) preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
- 5+ years experience in SAP. Prior enterprise SAP implementations is a plus.
- Experience leading projects with high performing and cross functional teams.
- Ability to navigate organization dynamics and lead cross-functional project teams.
- Ability to deploy innovative ideas that optimize processes and create value.
- Financial management exposure, awareness, and acumen.
- Strong communication, influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Lean/ Six Sigma certification desired
- Exposure and experience in Biotech / Pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, principles and practices.
- Understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements.

Compensation Overview:
New Brunswick - NJ - US: $163,880 - $198,584
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off
- US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)
- Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays
Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.
All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.
*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible.
