Job Summary
The Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking to build on recent departmental growth by recruiting an outstanding immunologist at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
We invite applications from accomplished mid-career scientists (PhD, MD, or MD/PhD) with expertise in Immunology. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, fundamental mechanisms governing innate or adaptive immunity, inflammation, or immune responses to commensal or pathogenic agents (e.g., bacteria, viruses, fungi, helminths).
Successful candidates will:
- Have a strong record of innovation and research productivity
- Maintain an active, high-quality, extramurally funded research program
- Contribute to the department’s teaching mission
- Mentor doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows
- Provide service to the University and the broader academic community, commensurate with their career stage
- Demonstrate a commitment to collaboration within a growing and dynamic biomedical research community
