Job Summary

The UK Healthcare (UKHC) Sports Medicine Lead Athletic Trainer position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team primarily dedicated to Morehead State University in Morehead, KY.

As the lead athletic trainer, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of sports medicine services for student-athletes at Morehead State University. This includes providing injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services to ensure the health and well-being of athletes.

You will collaborate closely with coaches, team physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and support to student-athletes.

Additionally, you will play a key role in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to sports medicine services, as well as providing education and training to coaches, athletes, and staff.

Supervisory duties include leading a team of UKHC Sports medicine athletic trainers, providing guidance and mentorship, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for promoting the health and performance of student-athletes.

Preferred Education/Experience

BA and 5 years of related experience. NATABOC Athletic Trainer Certification. Must have or obtains KY State Athletic Training License by time of hire.
