Athletics External Relations ManagerUIW MissionPosition SummaryThe Athletics External Relations Manager is responsible for leading the communications, marketing, broadcasting, and creative content efforts within the Office of Communications and Brand Marketing. This role focuses on developing strategies to enhance branding, increase revenue, boost fan engagement, and improve community perception through social media, advertising, and partnerships. The Athletics External Relations Manager reports to the Assistant. Director in the Office of Communications and Brand Marketing.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite, StatCrew and NCAA LiveStats.• Excellent writing, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.• A deep understanding of organizational branding and its importance.• Strong creative vision and execution skills.• Strong multitasking and project management skills.• Detail-oriented and organized.• Strong commitment to enhancing external relations team effectiveness through dependability.• Tact, discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality, when required.• Ability to establish structure during periods of change and growth.• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.• Ability to travel locally for events, as well as travel with the team for athletic and special events.• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.Required EducationBachelor's Degree.Required Work Experience• Three (3) years of experience in the field of marketing, communication, and/or broadcasting and/or other relevant professional field.
