This position maintains proper accounting records by accurately and efficiently computing, classifying, preparing, recording and verifying financial data and submitting financials for payment.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Preparing invoices, checks, account statements, reports and other records, and review for accuracy

  • Maintaining vendor files, process vendor payments and returned checks

  • Verifying and posting all daily activity to include deposits, receivables, refunds, after sale voids, liabilities, receipts, etc. to general ledger

  • Reconciling general ledger accounts with various other registers and accounts, such as bank and AR sub ledgers.

  • Auditing invoices, researching discrepancies, investigating overages/shortages

  • Monitoring accounts payable and receivable to ensure payments and charges are quickly processed and kept current

  • Reconciling bank statements to depository, checks and draft accounts; investigating all bank account adjustments.

  • Running month end reports; balancing and interpreting reports daily.

  • Monitoring accounts payable and receivable to ensure payments and charges are processed timely and kept current.

  • Reconciling report discrepancies and research problems.


What are the requirements for this job?

  • Education & High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.

  • 1 - 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and equipment required.

  • Effective communication skills required.

  • Must possess good problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Good computer software skills necessary.

  • Experience with Auction Edge/ASI auction systems a plus.
