Budget AnalystUIW MissionPosition SummaryThe Budget Analyst is responsible for providing complex professional analysis in the preparation and processing of budget documents in the Budget Office within the Office of Finance and Administration. The Budget Analyst reports to the Director of Budgeting, Planning, and Analysis.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Well-developed math skills to perform complex accounting and statistical computations.• Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook and Word; highly proficient in Microsoft Excel to include pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulating spreadsheets, charts and graphs.• Experience with analytical tools; excellent critical thinking skills.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize assignments with attention to detail.• Excellent customer service skills.• Ability to effectively troubleshoot errors or exceptions.• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.Required EducationBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Required Work ExperienceThree (3) years of professional financial and/or budgetary experience working with complex systems.Preferred Qualifications• Experience in Higher education• Experience in Banner.Required Certifications, Licenses or RegistrationsN/A.Work HoursMon-Fri 8am to 5pm. Typical schedule is 40 hours per week.
