The Role
As a Business Analyst Consultant within the Core Wealth Platform Product Area, you will support multiple squad initiatives aimed at growing our core business and scaling our technology. You are a digitally savvy strategic thinker with a passion for delivering amazing customer experiences and building latest technology solutions. The role will focus on the platform health and modernization efforts of the applications and systems supporting the Fidelity Insurance Agency. You will be working to build and deliver initiatives that support our client and associate experiences.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of experience
- Familiarity with life insurance products, such as annuities, a plus
- Strong execution background with the ability to multi-task and prioritize for efficiency and business need.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertain, with technologies you may have never worked with previously and gather the data and information to get to the root of an issue to resolve.
- Ability to assess end to end process and analyze opportunities for modernization and enhancement.
- Ability to lead initiatives and take accountability for overall program success.
- Effectively translate business needs into technical requirements for developers and designers.
- The ability to break a Jira story down into small components, understand the underlying purpose and be able to test.
- Ability to identify application and system issues, enhancements and requests by researching platform specifications, conferring with subject matter experts across the Enterprise.
- Ability to think strategically about the end-to-end process and how platform updates may impact the Squad and the business.
- Proficiency evaluating, and making updates to, procedures and processes with an eye towards operational efficiency.
- Experience identifying and working with data to analyze, find opportunities, drive fact-based decision making, and measuring results.
- Experience in managing large scale technical programs and projects with multiple streams of deliverables, resolving challenges, mitigating risks, and working through dependencies while collaborating with internal partners to ensure milestones are met.
- Conducting business acceptance and validation testing and to leading the team through various stages of the release cycle.
- Experience working with a full stack technical infrastructure with the ability to map dependencies and integrations.
- Proficiency in business acceptance testing, validation exercises, and release management.
- Outstanding analytical skills, with the ability to analyze current business and technical processes, triage issues, find opportunities for efficiency and enhance applications and tools based on insights, solutions, and requirements.
- Consistent track record of strategic planning, defining, and writing requirements, testing/learning, iterating on, and delivering best in class technical solutions.
The Team
You will be a member of the Core Wealth Platform Product Area. Your primary focus will be supporting the scale and modernization efforts of the platform, platform health, growth, application and systems supporting the Fidelity Insurance Agency. In this role you will partner with a variety of key stakeholders including other squads withing the Platform Area, Wealth Digital Experience, FIA and Brokerage partners.
