Job Summary

  • The Coordinator – Business Development / Marketing / Public Relations is responsible for implementing and managing marketing, communication, and public relations strategies to support the hospital's goals and visibility in the community
  • This position works closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications and other stakeholders to support strategic priorities, media relations, community engagement, and physician outreach
  • The Coordinator serves as the on-site resource for marketing and communications and ensures timely execution of related projects

Essential Functions

  • Assist the Director of Marketing & Communications with implementing local and organizational marketing strategies
  • Coordinate advertising efforts and media placements for hospital services and events
  • Maintain website and social media platforms with timely and accurate content
  • Coordinate internal communication initiatives for employees and physicians
  • Promote hospital services through earned media, public relations, and community sponsorships
  • Plan and support hospital participation in local events and community initiatives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business development goals
  • Coordinate physician marketing initiatives including referral development, event planning, and collaboration opportunities
  • Support crisis communication efforts under the guidance of senior leadership
  • Track and report on marketing project performance, media coverage, and promotional impact

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and content management systems
  • Ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and work independently
  • Frequent sitting, data entry, and use of computer systems
  • Occasional bending, reaching, and walking for event coordination and on-site promotions
  • May lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally for marketing materials and event setup
  • Office environment with regular presence in hospital and community settings
  • Occasional evening or weekend work for events or urgent communications needs
  • Minimal exposure to hazards; standard precautions followed in clinical areas when applicable

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field required

Licenses/Certifications

  • None required

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations required, preferably in a healthcare or service industry setting
