The Card Services Representative works independently and as part of a team to support the operational functions to enhance efficient and effective card servicing and superior member support. Specifically responsible for ATM/Debit and Credit Card operational support service. This role will also provide timely, accurate and professional assistance to members and staff on all card service inquiries.

Job-Specific Responsibilities:

  • Receives and responds to emails and phone inquiries from credit union personnel and members in a timely manner.
  • Receives and processes ATM/debit and credit card forms.
  • Monitors and processes returned ATM/debit and credit card orders.
  • Monitors and edits rejected new ATM/debit card orders.
  • Posts ATM/debit transaction exceptions.
  • Audits debit card lost and stolen report.
  • Audits new credit card orders and monitors incomplete information.
  • Monitors and processes card hold screen.
  • Reviews and edits cardholder changes such as international addresses, phone numbers, emails and name changes on card systems.
  • Reviews and processes monthly ATM/debit and credit card reissues.
  • Reviews and processes ATM/debit and credit card adjustments.
  • Sends credit card payment reversal notices and notification changes to members in a timely manner.
  • Monitors ATM/Debit and credit card reports.
  • Support all card related functions in all channels.
  • Performs other job-related duties and projects as necessary.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications are the minimum threshold a candidate must meet in order to be considered for this role.

  • High school diploma.
  • Post high school education, or equivalent experience in financial, banking or credit union.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

The following qualifications are strongly preferred. If you meet some, but not all, you are still encouraged to apply; we value employees with a willingness to learn.

  • Experience in a financial, banking or credit union environment, preferred.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills, organization skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be proficient with MS Excel, Word, Internet, Email (Outlook), other applications as required.
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Additional Information
  • Standard Hours/Schedule: 35 hours per week, with occasional Saturday mornings on rotation.
    3 days a month onsite with 1-week WFH. Anchor days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Work Format Details

This position has been determined by school or unit leaders that some of the duties and responsibilities can be effectively performed at a non-Harvard location. The work schedule and location will be set by the department at its discretion and based upon operational needs. When not working at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions must work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
