Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director, the Career Success and Employer Engagement Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Career Success Center by coordinating office administration, employer engagement activities, career events, and career management systems. This position serves as a primary operational contact for employers, students, and campus partners, manages the Career Launch functionality, and ensures accurate data, reporting and communication to support Student Career outcomes.
Duties/Responsibilities
Office & Administrative Coordination
• Coordinate front office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, records management, account activation, and employer job and internship posting support.
• Serve as the primary administrative contact for Career Success Center.
• Maintain office procedures, calendars, records, and operational documentation.
• Coordinate office purchasing, travel arrangements, and routine financial transactions.
Employer Engagement & Recruiting Support
• Support employer relationships through outreach, communication, and assistance with job and internship postings.
• Coordinate logistics and documentation for on campus recruiting and interviewing.
• In collaboration with the Career Success Center Coordinators, review employer registrations and job postings to ensure compliance with institutional guidelines.
Career Events & Job Fairs
• Coordinate logistics, registrations, and data management for job fairs and career events.
• In collaboration with Career Success Center Coordinators, develop and distribute event marketing and communications to employers and students.
• Serve as the primary operational contact during career events and compile post event documentation and feedback.
Career Technology & Data Management
• Serve as the primary liaison for Career Launch (Symplicity), including troubleshooting, training, and system updates.
• Maintain employer, student, internship, and recruiting data within career systems.
• Generate and distribute standard reports related to internships, recruiting activity, and student outcomes.
Internships, Outcomes & Reporting
• In collaboration with the Career Success Center Coordinators, provide support for internship approval, tracking, and reporting processes.
• Assist with the collection and maintenance of graduate next-destination and alumni employment data.
• Collaborate with campus partners to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting.
Communications & Outreach
• In collaboration with the Career Success Center Coordinators, maintain Career Success Center web content and social media platforms. This includes developing and distributing marketing materials related to career services, events, and employer engagement.
Student Worker Coordination
• Provide task guidance and workflow coordination for student workers supporting office operations.
• Assist with timesheet and payroll documentation for student employees.
Additional Duties
• Represent the department on university committees as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
Required Knowledge and Skills
High school diploma or GED required; a minimum of three years of office experience required. An equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience may be considered.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with students, employers, and campus partners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, time management, multitasking, and project coordination skills.
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
Data entry and records management skills.
Ability to work independently, assume responsibility, and operate with limited supervision.
Experience with microcomputers, word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and electronic software systems.
Functional Requirements
Requires remaining in a stationary position at a desk or work station for extended periods of time for the majority of assigned duties.
Occasionally requires physical access to meetings, job fairs and events that occur at on-campus sites such as classrooms and meeting rooms. May require extensive physical activity, including the physical manipulation of loads of up to 20 lbs., to oversee activities, to set up materials and equipment, and to interact with attendees.
Requires the use of computers and computer systems (hardware and software) to set up functions, to enter data, and to process information.
Requires effective problem solving and the presentation of a consistently professional demeanor while meeting deadlines and achieving critical outcomes, even under demanding conditions such as multiple priorities and short-notice deadlines.
Regular Work Hours/Travel Requirements
Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Occasional overtime may be required for special department events.
