Job Summary
The Gatton Center for Real Estate (CFRE) brings together foundational teaching, applied learning, and industry collaboration to elevate real estate education at the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics. Our mission is to provide students with meaningful, hands-on experiences, professional connections, and practical skills—while fostering innovation, applied research, and responsible growth that strengthens communities across Kentucky and beyond.
Internship: The Marketing & Communications Intern will support efforts in expanding the digital reach and developing content to share with students, alumni, executives, & other stakeholders.
Modality: In-Person | Hours: ~10-15 hours / week | Pay: $12 per hour Job Responsibilities CFRE
LinkedIn Account
1. Assist in creating engaging and informative content for the Center’s LinkedIn platform
2. Manage and maintain the Center’s LinkedIn presence, including regular updates and interactions with followers, as well as updating the Center’s website
3. Develop strategies to enhance the Center’s presence on LinkedIn, including but not limited to increasing engagement, follower growth, and brand visibility
CFRE Website
4. Contribute to website development efforts by creating compelling content and assisting in the expansion and improvement of the website
5. Work with the Gatton MarCom team to build features and functionalities
6. Assist with managing email communications
General Marketing
7. Assist in the creation of marketing materials for the Center, both in print and digital formats
8. Ensure consistency and coherence in messaging across all marketing channels
9. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in marketing, communication, and web development to continually improve strategies and tactics
10. Provide support in various marketing and communication projects as needed, such as corporate sponsorship packages
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
• Currently enrolled in a relevant field, such as Marketing or Digital Communications
• Strong writing skills with the ability to create engaging and error-free content
• Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, and a keen interest in leveraging them for professional purposes
• Basic understanding of website development principles
• Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva is a plus
• Organized, attentive to detail, able to work independently and collaboratively, self-starter • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
