The Team
The Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund (“Fidelity Charitable”) is a public charity that sponsors the largest national donor-advised fund program. Since 1991, Fidelity Charitable has introduced tens of thousands of donors to the benefits — and increased charitable impact — of using a donor-advised fund to meet their philanthropic goals. Fidelity Charitable is governed by an independent Board of Trustees, which has hired Fidelity Investments as the service provider to the charity. Fidelity Investments provides all the charitable organization’s employees and supports all its functions: Program Development, Marketing, Service Delivery, Relationship Management, Finance, Technology, Risk and Compliance, and Fundraising.
The Charitable Planning Associate (CPA) is an inbound, phone-based role acting as a sales development role into the Fidelity Charitable Fundraising and Distribution team. This role will uncover new opportunities with financial advisors and prospective donors looking for charitable planning assistance. You will cultivate and qualify these opportunities by providing valuable insights and helping them achieve their charitable goals by utilizing our Donor Advised Fund. In addition to generating leads from inbound calls, you will also be responsible for executing strategic initiatives by making outbound calls to qualify leads delivered by our Marketing team. You will collaborate with various business partners including Marketing, Service Delivery, Program, and Implementations to deliver best in class outcomes for our advisors and donors.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor’s degree
- Passion for the financial and philanthropic industries
- Proven experience working within the financial industry and/or service related industry.
- A dynamic personality with a high level of passion and motivation for career advancement
- Fundraising, sales, business development or relationship management experience is beneficial.
- Industry designations or additional education are also a plus.

The Value You Deliver
- Qualify inbound leads via the phone as the initial contact for financial advisors and donors exploring a relationship with Fidelity Charitable
- Consult with prospects about using our Donor Advised Fund to achieve their philanthropic goals.
- Understand and effectively communicate our value proposition to advisors and prospective donors.
- Develop an understanding of the advisor’s business or donors’ goals through profiling and determine if the Donor Advised Fund can help them achieve their goals.
- Partner with Marketing on lead flow and campaign alignment
- Function as a utility player for the Fundraising and Distributions team by providing interim territory coverage when capacity issues exist.
