What You’ll Do
As our Claims Specialist, you’ll help manage the day-to-day claims process for designated Sterling business units, including:
- Manage Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Auto, Equipment, and Property Damage claims reporting though resolution
- Partner with employees, business units, insurance carriers, and third-party providers throughout the claims process
- Review Claims documentation, medical bills, payroll records, payments and reserves for accuracy
- Participate in carrier and internal claim reviews and help identify next steps on open claims
- Monitor Workers’ Compensation claims, including medical treatment, investigations, rehabilitation and return-to-work efforts
- Help employees understand Workers’ Compensation benefits and requirements across multiple states
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience handling or adjusting Workers’ Compensation claims, including multi-state claims
- 1–3 years of experience with General Liability and Automobile claims, including claims processing, reporting, investigation, and reserves
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple claims and priorities at once
- Comfortable communicating with employees, business leaders, insurance carriers, and third parties
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- 2+ years of college preferred
- Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus
