Physical Requirements

Job Summary
UK HealthCare Information Technology Services has posted the Client Technologies Engineer I role. This role will be held accountable for establishing strong credibility & collaboration with our physicians, customers, department leadership, affiliated organizations, and all I.T. staff members. This is a highly matrixed organization which requires excellent interpersonal skills, persuasion and influencing skills, ability to participate in large multi-disciplinary teams with significant amount of varied work assignments. The successful Client Technology Engineer I will primarily be responsible for the administration of the end user communication applications. Other responsibilities are PC Standard Operating Environment (“SOE”) configurations to include Operating System design and image management; File and Print services; PC, Macintosh, Thin Client and Mobile Device Systems Management including Centralized virus protection and Microsoft System Center tools; centralized elevated support and patch delivery; and implementing self-help / self-heal services. Additional responsibilities include adherence to standards, processes, and procedures; adherence to the UK HealthCare Behavioral Expectations; and project management. UK HealthCare is a comprehensive healthcare system consisting of the medical, nursing, health sciences, public health, dental and pharmacy patient care activities of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and in several off-site locations. UK HealthCare is expanding through the construction of a new hospital and potential future acquisitions. The position requires you to obtain Microsoft Windows 7, 8 or 10 Configuration or MD-100: Windows 10 or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or MD-102 Endpoint Administrator within one year of hire date.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will have the following skills: Enterprise desktop support; Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate; image management; enterprise systems management; computing hardware; computing software; problem solving; excellent interpersonal and communication, both written and verbal; project management methodologies and practice; and Microsoft Project knowledge is preferred.

Prefer previous experience in an academic healthcare environment that demonstrated exceptional performance in the development, implementation and direct oversight of industry and service management best practices.
