A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Quality Assurance Associate
The Quality Assurance Associate supports the day-to-day operations of quality assurance procedures, including audits and staff training for the Clinical Research Department. A typical day includes completing audit activities and reports and communicating with site and Castle Biosciences staff regarding findings, metrics, and training needs. This role will spend the most time assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system and quality culture, collaborating with site staff to resolve issues and implement corrective actions, and conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The Quality Assurance Associate will also prepare audit reports, support the development of quality assurance plans and SOPs, provide training on quality procedures, and identify areas of regulatory and compliance risk. Additionally, this role ensures deliverables comply with CSTL policies, GCP guidelines, and applicable regulations, while analyzing quality findings for trends to capture metrics.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in clinical quality assurance, Clinical Research Associate, or a related role required.
- Minimum of 3 years in clinical research required.
- Actively displays behaviors that support the mission, vision, and values of Castle Biosciences.
- Valid Driver's License where applicable.

TRAVEL
- Routine overnight travel (by car and airline) up to 50% of the time and occasionally up to 80% due to internal and external audit activities, staff training opportunities, and visits to the PHX office.
SCHEDULE
- Monday-Friday; working remotely from home for travel-based position. USA-based location, near a major airport.
