Job Summary

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology is seeking an Assistant Professor to join our team of optometrists. This position supports the department’s mission of clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity, with opportunities for profession growth within a comprehensive academic medical center.

We are seeking an Optometrist who will provide primary eye care for our patients. Responsibilities include:

· Providing direct patient care

· Teaching residents and medical students

· Developing academic pursuits

The UK College of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology is a strong, multidisciplinary team of more than 180 people dedicated to advancing Kentucky health care together. Our department encompasses 37 faculty members, 122 staff members and 24 learners.

Each year, providers in the department see 140,000+ patient visits at 17 clinical sites. The department trains 24 residents and fellows across 8 accredited programs, while also contributing to the education of medical students and graduate trainees.
