Role:The Communications Manager serves as the primary internal marketing resource. Responsible for marketing the Organization and its affiliates through targeted internal and external communication strategies and tactics; developing, managing, and implementing communication plans and materials. This role is accountable for the quality and success of these marketing and community relations efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience (3 years with a Master’s) in a communications related field preferably in a healthcare or not-for-profit field
- Strong experience in search optimization, online analytics and customer insights
- Experienced with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Suite and WordPress for content management
- Knowledge of Associated Press style guidelines and application in written materials
- Well-versed in social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and associated strategies of engagement
- Possesses working knowledge of the Organization’s markets, products, services, and solutions
- Excellent written communication skills; ability to communicate complex concepts in clear, concise manner
- Ability to adhere to style guidelines, specifically consistent with the philosophy, standards and goals of the Company
- Detailed and results-oriented; adaptable; well-organized; ability to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks
- Ability to meet short-and long-term deadlines and expedite last-minute assignments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Responsibilities:
Internal Communications
- Plans, researches, creates and produces Organization’s internal newsletters to educate, inform and motivate staff.
- Assists with the development, planning and implementation of internal awareness and/or educational events.
- Responsible for design and facilitation of all system and affiliate business printing needs such as stationery and business cards.
- Generates and manipulates graphic images, animations, sound, text and video into consolidated and seamless multimedia programs. Uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials through a variety of media outlets such as websites.
- Remains abreast of technological advances in the field and identifies areas of use in the Organization.
- Creates, designs, writes and manages publication materials, client communications, newsletters, social media content, bulletins, information materials, and Organization’s presentations to build customer interaction and engagement.
External Communications
- Plans, researches, creates and produces external publications that educates and informs the community about programs and services, increases referrals, recruits volunteers and raises funds for the health care system and its subsidiaries.
- Creates education plan for, and monitors adherence to, brand standards and usage (including use of logos, trademarks, etc.) by all affiliates within the health system.
- Coordinates Organization’s printing needs and forms management system including checking bluelines and press proofs; ensures continuity of materials and conformance to specifications and costs.
- Maintains and updates a database of graphic design, artwork, logos and publication archives.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
