In this position, you'll be a key collaborator, working closely with all division programs, the Health Department Communications team, the Central Communications team, and the IT department. You'll also partner with directors to handle high-level internal and external communication needs, ensuring our messages are clear, impactful, and consistent.

As the Communications Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

You'll manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they are on time and within budget.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: You will serve as a key liaison, working closely with the County Communications Office and the IT department to coordinate public health messages, manage web communication projects, and ensure effective information flow across the division and county.
  • Content Development & Collaboration: You'll create compelling content for various platforms, including web, social media, and print publications. This involves gathering information from subject matter experts and collaborating with stakeholders to write, edit, and coordinate impactful communications.
  • Audience-Specific Messaging: You will craft communications that resonate with specific audiences, whether it's developing presentations for internal or external use, or writing in the voice and tone of different department leaders. You'll also identify and create stories that highlight the Community Health Center's mission and foster a sense of pride among employees.
  • Graphic Design and Visual Strategy: You'll provide advanced graphic design support, creating visual materials that effectively communicate key messages. This includes determining the best production methods and vendors for projects and ensuring a consistent look and feel across all materials.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Management: You'll build and manage a network of external graphic artists and designers. You'll also assist in managing these subcontractor relationships to ensure projects are completed on time and meet the required standards.
  • Team Collaboration: You'll play a key role in the success of the Communications and Marketing Team by actively participating in meetings and projects, sharing your expertise, and supporting your colleagues' work.
  • Cultural Consultation: You'll provide expert guidance on cultural best practices for projects, advising on the traditions and customs of various audiences, and ensuring all communications and translations are culturally accurate.
