
Content Creator, Owned Media
Reporting to the Director, Owned Media & Community, the Content Creator is responsible for developing culturally relevant, platform‑native content that brings the AutoNation brand to life across owned social channels. This role sits at the intersection of creativity and culture, producing scroll‑stopping content that feels human, authentic, and unmistakably AutoNation.
The ideal candidate is a native creator who understands social trends, formats, and storytelling, and is comfortable ideating, creating, and iterating content at the speed of social without sacrificing brand standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create (and publish?) short‑form, platform‑native content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels.
- Translate brand platform, strategy, and campaign priorities into engaging, social-first storytelling.
- Capture, edit, and produce high‑quality photo and video content optimized for and relevant to each platform.
- Identify and react to cultural moments, trends, and formats that align with the brand voice and values.
- Support always‑on content and proof-point campaigns with timely, relevant creative.
- Collaborate with engagement and insights teams to test, learn, and optimize content performance.
- Maintain brand voice, visual standards, and creative quality across all content.
- Demonstrate and advocate company vision, mission, and values; adhere to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience creating content for social platforms (brand, agency, or creator background).
- Strong video production, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Deep fluency in social culture, trends, and platform best practices.
- Ability to work quickly in a fast‑paced, test‑and‑learn environment.
- Must meet company’s requirements for employment.
Physical Requirements:
- Business travel (up to 30%). Occasional on-location content capture with local markets and partners.
- Standard office environment
