Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Coordinator I, CRM Communications facilitates daily operations of the CRM system, focusing on the creation, scheduling, and deployment of communication campaigns targeting prospective students. This entry-level role provides critical support in managing communication workflows, ensuring data accuracy, and assisting with reporting. Additionally, the Coordinator will assist with social media content creation and engagement, ensuring alignment with broader communication strategies and fostering meaningful interactions with prospective students. The position will collaborate with the Manager, CRM Communications & Strategy, to execute communication strategies that align with enrollment goals and improve engagement across multiple channels.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates, schedules, and deploys basic to moderate CRM-driven communications, including email and Short Message Service (SMS). Assists Manager with higher-level communications
  • Posts basic to moderate social media content, engaging with followers and monitoring comments to ensure timely responses and brand alignment. Assists Manager with higher-level content and follower engagement
  • Creates, manages and updates templates for emails and other communication formats. Assists Manager with higher-level templates
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to ensure all communications align with LSC's branding guidelines and campaign objectives
  • Performs regular data audits within the CRM system to identify and resolve any inconsistencies or errors
  • Assists with generating and distributing reports on campaign performance and audience engagement
  • Monitors communication timelines to ensure the on-time delivery of campaigns
  • Provides general support for CRM projects, including new feature testing, training, and troubleshooting
  • Supports the implementation of new communication tools and strategies under the guidance of the Manager
  • Supports the maintenance of CRM records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data for prospective student outreach
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Element451, Slate) or ability and willingness to learn CRM systems upon hire
  • Familiarity with email marketing, SMS, and social media communication practices
  • Familiarity with higher education marketing or recruitment processes preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively meet potentially overlapping deadlines
  • Basic understanding of data management and reporting principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general office software

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE & CONDITIONS:

  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or higher and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Associate degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience must include at least 1 year in Marketing, Communications, or a related administrative role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems or email marketing platforms
  • Experience with HTML email design or basic graphic design
Salary

Hiring salary range is $38,761 to $44,575

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.
