Job Summary
Located at Rock Valley College's Downtown West Campus, the Coordinator, New Student Enrollment Downtown West will lead recruitment efforts for all programs offered at this location and new students in their assigned territory. This role will coordinate recruitment strategies and initiatives to assist the Recruitment team in student populations within an assigned geographical territory. Additionally, the coordinator will conduct recruiting activities and participate in community events in other selected areas as necessary. The Coordinator, New Student Enrollment Downtown West will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the enrollment cycle, assisting prospective students and their families in transitioning to Rock Valley College. The coordinator will support the recruitment team in meeting college enrollment goals by developing and implementing recruitment and marketing strategies and events designed to meet the diverse needs of all student populations at the Downtown West Campus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Related Duties may be assigned.
1. The Coordinator, New Student Enrollment Downtown West is the first line of contact for the school and must maintain a professional appearance at all times.
2. Lead the organization of community events to promote all Downtown West Campus programs and engage with varies student populations.
3. Conduct themselves in a professional manner and hold true the core values of Rock Valley College and collaborate with others.
4. Develop, manage, and maintain partnerships with schools, community agencies, and organizations to recruit prospective students for all programs at the Downtown West Campus.
5. Track students through the admission funnel to ensure communication of necessary steps to enroll at RVC.
6. Provide feedback and detailed reports on any recruitment activities weekly, daily, monthly.
7. Work together with colleagues to communicate and execute best practices in territory management.
8. Coordinate recruitment activities including outreach efforts, campus visits, presentations to large and small groups, etc.
9. Demonstrate and possess a strong understanding of cultural competency, and how to communicate effectively to different audiences.
10. Collaborate with RVC Workforce Development, Adult Education, Transition Coordinators, Academic Advising, and Cultural Excellence and Belonging Specialists to facilitate seamless transitions from non-credit to credit programs at the Downtown West Campus.
11. Work with RVC Cultural Excellence and Belonging Specialists to develop strategies that create inclusive pathways and remove barriers for various student populations at the Downtown West Campus.
12. Provide support for any student support initiative on or off campus to recruit and retain students at RVC.
13. Ensure all students in assigned territory are aware of deadlines, application procedures, and financial aid eligibility criteria.
14. Assist in analyzing application and enrollment trends to proactively respond and adjust territory recruitment strategies.
15. Assist Academic & Career Advising during peak times by advising new students.
16. May be asked to advise targeted programs upon request.
17. Make referrals to students for career advising, academic advising, and/or personal counseling.
18. Understand FAFSA deadlines, process, procedures, and changes in order to accurately advise students.
19. Collaborate with Student Affairs department to accomplish enrollment goals of the college.
20. Lead the development of recruitment initiatives within the region, including school engagements and individual meetings, to guide prospective students through the enrollment process.
21. Independently schedule and deliver presentations at area schools, businesses, libraries and social service agencies as assigned.
22. Conduct outreach to prospective students and families using telephone and other current technologies.
23. Communicate and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.
24. Meet with prospective students and families to help them get started at RVC and conduct campus tours.
25. Assist in the development and implementation of recruitment plans, based on data analysis and integrated with marketing strategies for the college.
26. Assist in the coordination of timely tele-counseling efforts to all student groups.
27. Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to FERPA regulations.
28. Stay informed on current research related to adult, nontraditional, and traditional learner needs and trends, sharing insights with the Enrollment Services team to enhance recruitment strategies.
29. Maintain and update the college's database systems daily to ensure accurate tracking of prospective and enrolled students.
30. Coordinate with Downtown West Campus program directors to stay informed about program offerings, updates, and enrollment capacities to accurately inform prospective students.
31. Work with Marketing and various departments on materials and outreach strategies tailored to the unique demographics and needs of the Downtown West Campus student population.
32. Special projects as assigned by Director of New Student Enrollment, Dean of Enrollment Services, and VP of Student Affairs.
33. Facilitate workshops and information sessions specifically designed for students transitioning from Workforce and Adult Education programs to credit-bearing courses.
34. Evening and weekend work will be required.
35. Serve on RVC committees as needed.
36. Regular attendance is expected.
37. Using tact and courtesy, the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with persons contacted in the course of work
38. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of New Student Enrollment or Dean of Enrollment Services.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Must have a valid driver's license. Demonstrate strong oral and written communications skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, College Database systems and other PC applications. Knowledge of data collection and analysis. Ability to work in a team setting. Ability and skill to work with students, faculty, and staff. Experience working in a community college setting preferred. Experience in admissions/recruiting, social services, higher education or equivalent work, and knowledge of local high schools and community organizations preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with students, faculty and staff is necessary.

Bi-lingual proficiency (Spanish) is highly desirable.
