Position Description

The City of Tolleson is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our Finance Department. This position plays a vital role in supporting financial operations through excellent service to both internal and external customers. Key responsibilities include collecting payments, balancing cash drawers, preparing and routing invoices, and ensuring accurate data entry. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date customer records, processing purchase orders, assisting with procurement tasks, completing annual reporting requirements, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of directly related education and experience. Valid Arizona Class D Driver's License; Bilingual (Spanish) required.

Experience in a municipal or government setting. The ideal candidate for this position will be bilingual, thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess exceptional interpersonal, administrative, and technical review skills. The successful candidate will be committed to the community by providing excellent customer service through teamwork, communication, and responsiveness.

Physical Demands

Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time.

Working Conditions are in an office setting. Depending on assignment, some travel may be required.

Job Information
