The Role

Enterprise Cybersecurity provides worldwide technology and support to all businesses under the Fidelity Investments umbrella. The Cybersecurity Analyst will primarily focus on investigating potential instances of data loss through actions of Insiders. The role will use investigative and communication skills to identify where a potential incident has occurred and follow standard operating procedures to actively engage all stakeholders to resolve the incident.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in security operations, including incident detection, analysis, response, and detection creation within a production environment.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies across network and host-based environments.

  • Proficient in analyzing security alerts and logs, conducting investigations, and identifying indicators of compromise (IOCs).

  • Automation experience using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or similar, as well as proficiency in Splunk SPL (Search Processing Language), and other tools commonly used in cybersecurity operations.

  • Experience with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview, including threat detection, data loss prevention, and insider risk management.

  • Familiarity with enterprise data repository architectures and platforms such as SharePoint, OneDrive, Snowflake, and O365.

  • In-depth knowledge of the current threat landscape, including insider threats, data exfiltration techniques, and behavioral analysis.

  • Technical expertise in Windows operating systems, including event log analysis, registry forensics, and endpoint security controls.

  • Familiarity with threat hunting methodologies and behavioral analytics to proactively identify anomalous activity.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, complemented by excellent communication abilities to effectively present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Team

The Enterprise Cybersecurity Internal Threat Operations team is responsible for detection, investigation, and response to potential insider incidents across the entire firm. We partner with Platform Operations, Security Operations Center, Legal, and Employee Relations to ensure our controls are strong and continually improving, and that any incidents are appropriately reviewed and handled in accordance with employee privacy regulations and legal requirements. Our team members utilize strong written/verbal communication to easily work across the business and produce results.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
