Fidelity TalentSource is your destination for discovering your next temporary role at Fidelity Investments. We are currently sourcing for a Data Analyst to work in Westlake, TX or Merrimack, NH.

The Role

As Principal Data Analyst you will co-lead the design and development of data services in support of the Data Experience Squad. You will work iteratively across the data lifecycle, identifying and defining data needs, data model design and delivery of high value data products for the Corporate Technology Group. We are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related experience in data analysis, or data engineering, or a master’s degree and 5+ years of meaningful experience.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • You have expertise in leading significant data or BI related projects in the areas of requirements gathering, analysis, interpretation and translating them to data solutions.
  • Strong dimensional data modelling design and implementation experience.
  • You are familiar applying data governance and management practices when building data solutions using tools such as Power Designer, Collibra and Alation.
  • You have knowledge of DevOps technology and are fluent in agile work methodologies such as scrum and its application. Familiarity with Jira & Jira Align of benefit.
  • Strong data analysis and data profiling skills with a demonstrable understanding of SQL/Python. You are experienced independently wrangling insights from datasets to obtain valuable insights.
  • You have prior experience working with Snowflake the cloud data warehouse platform, its data lifecycle, data movement and data sharing architecture. Ideally you have SnowPro certification.
  • You understand and communicate sophisticated concepts effectively to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical. You make the complicated simple.
  • You have a passion for continuous learning, mastering of new skills, and staying on top of the latest innovations across data analytics.
  • You have experience navigating integrated enterprise data and working across multi-functional teams. You can identify alternative approaches and make recommendations on the benefits and shortcomings of each approach.
  • You are known as a go-getter, with the ability to unravel a mystery; data, business process or organizational.
  • You are an effective communicator with a good ability to cultivate relationships. You have superb communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong results-orientated contributor with an ability to clearly articulate and deliver business value.

We have an outstanding technology opportunity in the Corporate Technology Data Engineering Chapter Area to deliver modern data solutions to the as part of the Corporate Technology Group at Fidelity. The team’s objectives focus on the provision of critical IT capabilities & data to the to support enterprise reporting, metrics, and analytics across the Enterprise.
