The Data Analyst supports the planning and execution of data migration and data quality activities for a large-scale Microsoft-based modernization initiative. Working under the direction of the Data Migration Lead, this role is responsible for analyzing source systems, profiling data, documenting business rules, and supporting migration planning and execution activities.

The Data Analyst will work with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand data structures, relationships, and usage patterns across legacy and modern platforms. Responsibilities include data profiling, source-to-target mapping, data quality assessment, validation planning, reconciliation support, and documentation of migration requirements.

During migration execution, the Data Analyst will assist with data cleansing, validation, testing, and issue resolution activities to ensure migrated data is accurate, complete, and fit for operational use. The role will collaborate closely with application, integration, testing, and reporting teams to support Agile delivery schedules and evolving business priorities.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both business users and technical teams to solve data-related challenges.

The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000 (annualized USD). The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability and other organizational requirements.

Required Skills
  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, data migration, or data management
  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies, including SQL Server, Azure SQL, Dataverse, Azure Data Services, etc.
  • Experience analyzing complex data structures and relationships
  • Experience with data profiling, cleansing, and validation activities
  • Experience documenting business rules and data requirements
  • Experience creating source-to-target mapping documentation
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Experience supporting testing and reconciliation activities
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required government clearances, if applicable.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Washington, DC during the discovery and planning phase of the project
  • Must be a US Citizen

Salary range

  • $110,000 - $130,000 per year
