The Role

Fidelity Wealth – Sales Support and Compensation chapter is looking for a hard-working and expert Senior Java Engineer with very strong data engineering skills and has the ability to work across a wide range of tech stack. We work in a multifaceted agile environment.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 5 to 8 years of software development experience, especially in data engineering – handling and processing large volume of data
  • Extensive experience working with data and databases, ideally Oracle, Postgres (Aurora RDS) and Snowflake
  • Expert level knowledge in writing, debugging and performance tuning sophisticated SQLs and stored procedures
  • Comfortable working with huge data sets – analyzing and processing data using Python or similar technology
  • Proficient in Java and work experience in developing APIs and micro-services.
  • CI/CD & container experience: Jenkins, Udeploy, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Solid understanding in any ETL/ELT tools and processes.
  • Having worked on and supported batch-based architecture – ControlM, Shell Scripting etc
  • Working experience on cloud-computing and software development on AWS
  • Possess a strong sense of ownership and works well in an Agile squad
  • Strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks at any given time
  • Participate in engineering practices such as code and design reviews, environment strategy, and build and deployment pipelines
  • Strong communication and organizational skills and attention to details

The Team

The team builds and supports highly critical applications used by Fidelity’s front-line sales associates. The team is responsible for aggregating large volume of data from various sources, processing through sophisticated business rules and accurately computing the key metrics needed for variable compensation calculation.
