Job Description and Requirements

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union is currently searching for an experienced and talented Data Intelligence Director to join our amazing Enterprise Data Management team!

The Data Intelligence Director will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule (remote/onsite) after a period of training (time frame may vary). Training will take place at the RBFCU Administrative Service Center: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, Texas 78233.

All applicants must reside within the state of Texas and have the capability of performing all of the work from their home in Texas.

To successfully work from home, employees must have access to a minimum internet connection as noted by RBFCU.

  • Must have a reliable home internet provider and the ability to hard wire a connection directly to modem (Ethernet cable provided).
  • Must be able to provide a workspaces at home that is safe, suitable for work, and within a distraction free environment.

This Director of Data Intelligence will lead the strategic direction and operational delivery of data governance and business intelligence functions at RBFCU. The role is responsible for ensuring trusted, defined, and secure data assets are transformed into clear, consumable insights across the organization. By unifying governance and reporting under a single leadership structure, this role reduces friction, enables compliance, and accelerates value realization from data.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the enterprise data governance framework including stewardship, quality, metadata, and compliance standards.
  • Lead centralized business intelligence delivery, ensuring executive and operational reporting is timely, accurate, and trusted.
  • Establish and manage certified data assets and reporting environments that enable scalable self-service analytics.
  • Collaborate across business and technology teams to standardize definitions, metrics, and data access protocols.
  • Direct governance of reporting assets to eliminate redundancy and increase confidence in insights.
  • Build and lead data stewardship programs to ensure accountability and ownership of critical data domains.
  • Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Legal to address internal controls and evolving regulatory needs.
  • Drive reporting automation, dashboard design standards, and user enablement across BI tools.
  • Promote data literacy and analytics adoption across departments.
  • Serve as the enterprise authority on reporting integrity and data governance discipline.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or GED
  • Minimum of three years of job-related related experience
  • Minimum of three years of management experience
  • Demonstrated execution of thought leadership in enterprise data governance, business intelligence, or data strategy initiatives
  • Proven success unifying governance and analytics capabilities under a shared framework
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy, regulatory reporting, metadata standards, and data quality processes
  • Hands-on experience with data management and intelligence tools. (Databricks, Informatica, Power-Bi or equivalents)
  • Familiarity with developing stewardship operating models and Centers of Excellence
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence change across functions

Skills and/or Certifications and Licensing:

  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and evolving data landscape
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing scalable enterprise data solutions
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant data platforms and tools, including but not limited to: Databricks, Informatica, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Unity Catalog, Azure
  • Understanding of cloud-based architecture and infrastructure in Azure or similar environments
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-aligned strategies and priorities
  • Familiarity with data privacy, regulatory compliance, and security frameworks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership
