As the Principal, Data Modeler within Cyber Data Analytics group (CDA), you blend deep data modeling knowledge and Data Architecture experience to create Data Models for multiple key initiatives. You have a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing associates. In an agile structure you will collaborate across squads within CDA to ensure data modelling standards and build solutions to help scale initiatives. You are committed to staying hands-on, developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role and to empower others with that knowledge. As a data modeler you will drive the spirit of innovation and data strategy by building and improving the data modeling and database design practice. You will work closely with the business and technical teams and create or assist in the creation of scalable, flexible, and well documented data models. You would also drive the adoption of enterprises and standard methodologies, and promote changes in processes, standards, or technologies when necessary.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Strong Data modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical, 3nF, Dimensional) at both project and enterprise level
- Dimensional Modeling with experience in creating conformed dimensions that can be used across Business Units.
- Data Modeling Tool such as Power designer, Oracle Designer or Erwin
- Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams
- Understanding principles and standard methodologies around Data Architecture
- Ability to write SQL to query data (ideally ANSI SQL)
- Experience designing semantic layers and data products to enable self-service analytics, consistent business definitions and trusted insights across domains.
- Ability to apply domain-driven design to create interoperable, reusable models that scale across the enterprise.
The Expertise Nice to Have
- Experience with Snowflake experience a plus
- Experience with Cybersecurity is a plus
- General knowledge of Big Data technologies, techniques, and trends
- Experience with data governance and metadata management tools and standard methodologies a plus

The Value You Deliver
- Work closely with enterprise data modeling team to review and seek approval for CDA data models.
- Partner with project teams, vendors, support organizations, functional architects, systems specialists and other technical resources to gather information requirements and deliver data modeling solutions for CDA team.
- Improve the overall analysis of business requirements and deliver well architected and efficient physical database designs that reduce time to market for making design decisions
- Assist in developing guidelines and standards for the data modeling checklist, governance process and for cataloging and maintaining data repositories
- Help to drive conformance to the Enterprise data strategy
- Bring industry thought leadership to the team
- Coach data engineers within the team on data modelling
