Role Summary

The DevOps Engineer will support Salesforce release and deployment processes across multiple environments. This role focuses on managing deployments, performing peer reviews, maintaining version control, and ensuring consistent and reliable delivery cycles. The position requires hands-on experience with Salesforce metadata and strong collaboration skills. Onsite presence is required every other week as part of the hybrid model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute Salesforce deployments across development, QA, UAT, staging, and production environments.
  • Maintain and support Git-based version control, including branching and merging.
  • Conduct peer reviews of Salesforce metadata changes and pull requests to ensure quality and standards.
  • Validate Apex tests, code coverage, and deployment readiness.
  • Troubleshoot deployment failures, metadata conflicts, and environment differences.
  • Support sandbox refreshes, environment alignment, and data preparation.
  • Collaborate with developers, admins, QA, and release teams to coordinate and plan deployments.
  • Document deployment procedures, release steps, and environment configurations.
  • Ensure release activities follow internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment processes and release management practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Up to 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, or Salesforce deployment roles.
  • Practical experience using Git for version control.
  • Experience performing peer reviews within a development or release workflow.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve deployment and metadata issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Flosum (deployments, pipelines, org comparisons).
  • Exposure to code quality tools (PMD, ESLint, SonarQube).
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce metadata (Apex, LWC, Flows, Custom Objects, Permission Sets)

Please see the below pay rate range for the work location of Rhode Island only: $60.00-70.00 per hour.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
