The Role
Fidelity Investments is looking for a Platform Engineer (Database Security) to join the Data Protection and Analytics Product Area Team supporting Enterprise Cyber Security. In this role, you will deliver modern engineering solutions and capabilities that strengthen Fidelity’s ability to protect critical data assets across the enterprise. You will champion standardization and best practices by promoting infrastructure‑as‑code, version control, and repeatable patterns that create predictable, auditable, and scalable platform deployments.
Additionally, you will ensure adherence to security best practices while enabling rehydration capabilities and disaster recovery planning to support business continuity and minimize downtime. Leveraging established enterprise standards, processes, and procedures, you will ensure that all engineering activities are executed efficiently, with high quality and strong alignment to Fidelity’s cybersecurity objectives.
The Expertise & Skills You Bring
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technology discipline
3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in Systems, DevOps or Platform Engineering
Experienced in configuring and deploying cloud services in AWS/Azure
Experienced in provisioning, configuring and maintaining secure and scalable container platforms in AWS/Azure (EKS/AKS etc.)
Experienced in automating cluster creation, configuration and management using IaC tools e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform etc.
Experienced in DevOps including CI/CD pipelines for deploying containerized workload using Jenkins/Artifactory/GitHub etc.
Experienced in implementing and enforcing Kubernetes security best practices (RBAC, network policies, image security, secrets management etc.)
Collaborate with multiple technology teams to implement monitoring, logging and alerting across the infrastructure using different tools e.g.as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch etc.
Experience with scripting knowledge (Perl, Python, etc) is preferred
Participate in on-call rotations and provide operational support as needed
Self-starter who can independently learn how systems work by reading technical documentation
