As our Digital DesignIntern, you'll spend the 2025-2026 NBA Season designing and developing our digital platforms including websites, digital marketing materials and mobile app. You can’t be afraid to take risks and push yourself in the digital space. 

About the Internship:

  • Internship Duration: August 26, 2025 to April 24, 2026, with the potential for an extension.
  • Part-time Commitment: Expect to work an average of 28 hours per week.
  • Location: Portland, Oregon; this is an on-site role, not remote.
  • Industry: Dive into the dynamic world of Sports & Entertainment, gaining exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into what it truly means to be part of the team behind the team.

As our Digital Design Intern, you will:

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of all online properties including but not limited to trailblazers.com and rosequarter.com.
  • Develop landing and splash pages, emails, newsletters, web ads for trailblazers.com, rosequarter.com and other external sites.
  • Provide development for digital projects and applications across the organization.
  • Design Trail Blazers and Rose Quarter digital assets for Ticket Sales and Services, Social Responsibility, Corporate Partnerships, Game Operations, Events, concerts, family shows and general marketing.
  • Create co-branded promotional web elements for Trail Blazers corporate partners.
  • Develop email marketing assets for teams across the organization.
  • Design marketing materials for social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
  • Design and develop graphics for our mobile app.
  • Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions for upcoming projects.

  • Are at least 18 years of age.
  • Have strong digital design skills – html, CSS, UX & UI design, and responsive design.
  • Have experience using various content management systems, preferably WordPress.
  • Are open and responsive to design feedback and changes.
  • Are proficient working in different computer programs such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
  • Build and maintain constructive and positive working relationships with a diverse group of people.
  • Prioritize assignments, stay organized, and have a sharp eye for detail. You are inventive and a quick learner.
  • Demonstrate commitment and outstanding follow-through.
  • Have a high level of business insight and integrity.
  • Are motivated, take initiative, and can handle working on multiple projects at a time.
  • Bring a positive, energetic attitude each day.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise discretion when working with sensitive or proprietary information.
  • Possess the ability to lift 20-50 lbs.
  • Are available to work a flexible schedule, which could include office hours, Trail Blazers home games, and evening/weekend responsibilities.
