
Director, Alts Investor Operations and Oversight

The Role
As the Director, Asset Management - Alts Investor Relations and Onboarding, you will play a significant role in shaping the strategy for managing alternative investment fund documents and facilitating investor agreements for private funds. This position provides excellent access to senior leadership and offers an opportunity to have a significant impact on our rapidly growing alternatives division.
You will be tasked with identifying, developing, and implementing scalable, repeatable processes to support private alternative investment fund operations. The role requires navigating our organization, fostering positive relationships with key collaborators, and expanding your professional network to solution for cross-division challenges. Additionally, you will need to swiftly grasp and simplify sophisticated business processes linked to new alternative investment products and communicate key concepts to a varied audience.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
With an outstanding work ethic, attention to detail, and dedication to excellence, you possess exceptional analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Your qualifications include:
7-10 years’ experience in financial services organizations
Expertise in implementing technology solutions as a subject matter authority
Proficiency in interpreting and working with fund legal documents, including Limited Partner Agreements, Private Placement Memorandums, and Side Letters
Prior experience collaborating with sales and account executives supporting institutional investors
Established experience in building a fund/investor term compliance monitoring system
Experience with contract processes from negotiation/initiation to document storage and term tracking
Ability to enhance visibility and clarity throughout the contract lifecycle
Demonstrated success in leading and optimizing operational processes across complementary teams
In-depth understanding of the asset management industry, with a strong grasp of alternative investments such as hedge funds, private equity, real assets, direct lending, and structured products
Effective collaboration abilities and the ability to persuade senior team members and collaborators
Adaptability and effectiveness in both leading and contributing to teams

Fidelity’s hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences. Working onsite is important for our business strategy and our culture. We also value the benefits that working offsite offers associates. This hybrid role requires associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
The base salary range for this position is $110,000-222,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
