The Role

The Solution Architect plays a key role in the Digital Service and Automation (DSA) architecture and strategy team. This individual will play a key role in improving our workflow and process automation platform to support our growing business. The Solution Architect works closely with business sponsors, project managers, engineers, and architects to develop strategies, standards, policies, and recommendations to develop best of class solutions for our associates and customers. This role leads the end-to-end architecture and is responsible for ensuring solutions meet strategic business and technical goals. The Solution Architect should enjoy open collaboration across teams, owning the outcome, and be well versed in both hands-on technical challenges and communicating strategies to partners.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field or equivalent experience (MS degree preferred)
  • Experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead
  • Experience using a Business Process Management (BPM) tool and Process Automation (e.g. Camunda)
  • Experience in AWS serverless services (e.g. SQS, step functions, lambda) with AWS certificate preferred
  • Familiarity with Robotic Process Automations (RPAs) (e.g. Blue Prism)
  • Experience in API first service development with Node.js or Java REST API development
  • Experience in Domain Driven Design
  • Experience on CI/CD process and related engineering excellence best practices
  • Demonstrable experience in building reusable/modular automation and/or workflow platforms
  • Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions and provide end-to-end reference architecture designs
  • Strong interpersonal skills who can clearly articulate and influence design solutions

The Team

You will work with architecture and application teams to help champion innovation, drive standardization and deliver on new technology for our associates and customers.

The base salary range for this position is $126,000-255,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
