The Role

Are you prepared to guide a top-tier cloud engineering team in our ambitious Cloud journey at Fidelity Investments? As a Director of Cloud Engineering, you will be in charge, navigating and overseeing technical complexities while guiding teams in an Agile setting. Your proficiency will be essential in introducing new technologies using AWS to create secure, scalable solutions. Join us in Westlake, TX, and assist in constructing platforms that will shape the future!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deploying innovative technologies through Cloud-based infrastructures such as AWS.

• Leading a team of 10+ cloud engineers to build platforms and solutions that support Fidelity Wealth’s Cloud journey.

• Offering advice on developing secure, scalable solutions within an Agile/Scrum framework.

• Bringing to bear strategic backlog and prioritization decisions related to Cloud Platform Engineering.

• Crafting, developing, and modifying complex software systems using cloud-native open-source technologies.

• Leading all aspects of the technical implementation of cross-divisional or companywide cloud components.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Your ability to research and recommend new technologies will drive our strategic direction. You should be adept at developing IT processes and procedures, modifying existing software for improved performance, and analyzing user needs to determine the feasibility of builds.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field (preferred).

• Vast background in Cloud Engineering, specifically focusing on AWS and Kubernetes.

• Proven leadership in managing technical teams and projects.

• Expertise in developing cloud-native solutions using containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
