Posting Description

Under the supervision of the SVP of Major Gifts (Corporate), the Director of Corporate Partnerships & Events is responsible for developing corporate relationships and securing philanthropic gifts, as well as maintaining oversight of organizational events that foster corporate giving and sponsor recognition.

This position works collaboratively and creatively to lead revenue generation within corporate giving: including corporate sponsorships of organizational events and fundraisers, corporate donations (cash and inkind), and corporate employee giving campaigns. This position will work collaboratively with the Grant Director for Corporate foundation support and will supervise the Event Coordinator position to ensure all organizational events are properly planned, coordinated, and implemented. Responsibility and accountability for the development and achievement of annual corporate revenue goals and event revenue goals is critical to the position and the organization's success. In this role, the Director will strive to build synergy between Habitat Tampa Bay Hillsborough’s other fundraising programs: Individual Giving/Annual Fund, Community Contribution Tax Credit Program, Major Gifts, and Grants.

Essential Functions:
* Corporate Relations - Work with the SVP of Major Gifts, CDO, CEO and Board to strengthen relations with the corporate community in Hillsborough County. Identify and pursue sources of corporate funding. Look for and capitalize on opportunities for additional corporate support such as construction gifts in kind, ReStore procurement, and home preservation funding.
* Corporate Giving – Secure corporate gifts for organizational fundraising events, home sponsorships, and general operations in accordance with the Development Plan.
* Fundraising Events – Oversee and implement organizational fundraising events. Develop and maintain fundraising event budgets and achieve net revenue goals in accordance with the Development Plan. Supervise the event coordinator to ensure quality of all organizational events.

* Corporate Recognition – Work with SVP of Major Gifts, CDO, Marketing, Volunteer Services and Resource Development Teams to ensure proper recognition and stewardship of all corporate donors.
* Database – Properly document moves management of corporate portfolio in the donor database system.

Competencies:
* The position must have a minimum of five years experience raising funds for non-profits or similar experience.
* Ability to create and implement a strategic development plan.
* Extensive experience in face-to-face gift requests, prospect identification and cultivation.
* Experience supervising organizational fundraising events.
* Excellent computer, organizational, writing, and public speaking skills.
* Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to the department’s budget.
* Outstanding communication skills: in particular, the ability to make compelling presentations to diverse groups and to prepare well-written proposals.
* Experience managing and interacting with diverse staff.
* Exceptional organizational skills and ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
* Background in project management including budgeting and staffing.
* Experience working with volunteers and/or personally volunteering.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing work environment.
* Additional knowledge and skills include extensive knowledge of local philanthropic and business community.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
* This is a full-time exempt position. The typical workweek is Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.

Education, Experience and Attributes:
* Desire to work towards Habitat’s mission.
* College degree required.
* Five+ years of fundraising experience, ideally in a non-profit and/or faith-based organization
* Ability to take initiative and make effective recommendations to staff and Board.
