We’re seeking a Director, Creative and Brand to lead brand design and creative for American Express Global Dining, including Tock and Resy two of the most dynamic platforms in the dining and hospitality space. You will manage a team of colleagues as a central in-house center of excellence and central planning.

As Creative and Brand Director, you’ll serve as the steward of our brand identity and the driver of world-class creative expression across every channel and customer experience. You’ll lead a passionate team of designers, art directors, and developers, working closely with marketing, product, and executive leadership to evolve our brand, launch campaigns, and shape how our platforms show up in the world.

This is a rare opportunity to define the visual and narrative identity of two industry-defining brands. From high-impact campaigns and brand systems to UX, video, content, and communications, you’ll guide the journey from strategy to execution.

What You’ll Do

Brand Vision & Identity

  • Lead the evolution and expression of the Tock and Resy brands within American Express Global Dining.
  • Define and refine brand guidelines, visual systems, tone, and creative standards.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints—digital, experiential, editorial, and internal.

Creative Strategy

  • Partner with marketing, communications, and product teams to develop strategic creative approaches rooted in insights and aligned with business goals.
  • Champion the role of design and storytelling in driving impact and differentiation.
  • Translate complex briefs into clear, inspiring creative directions.

Campaign & Creative Execution

  • Lead the full creative process for brand and marketing campaigns, from concept through delivery.
  • Collaborate across teams and with external partners to deliver integrated campaigns across digital, experiential, and physical channels.
  • Ensure campaign work meets strategic objectives, maintains creative excellence, and strengthens a unified brand presence.
  • Oversee execution across performance marketing, lifecycle, partnerships, and key brand moments—scaling ideas across formats and platforms.

Website & Product Design Oversight

  • Guide brand expression across marketing sites, landing pages and improve UX.
  • Collaborate with UX, content, and development teams to ensure a cohesive, user-centered design approach.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and mentor a growing and vibrant team of brand and visual designers.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, feedback, and creative excellence.
  • Oversee relationships with agencies, freelancers, and production partners.

Internal & Executive Communications

  • Provide creative direction for internal and corporate-facing initiatives, including executive presentations and brand education.
  • Ensure consistent storytelling across teams and functions.

About You

  • 10+ years of experience in creative or brand design, with 5+ years in a leadership role at a high-growth or design-forward company.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong portfolio showcasing brand identity, storytelling, campaigns, and digital experiences.
  • Deep experience building and scaling brand design systems.
  • Strong creative instincts with exceptional eye for design, craft, and storytelling.
  • Skilled in leading cross-functional creative work that blends strategy, design, UX, and content.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven success mentoring and growing creative teams.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments—able to zoom out on vision and zoom in on details.
  • Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and familiar with digital production workflows.
  • Passionate about hospitality, design, storytelling, and shaping cultural moments.

Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
