How will you make an impact in this role?

Enterprise Digital within Technology is a dynamic environment of digital product and analytics professionals that drive significant value for American Express through innovative solutions. This is a great opportunity in Enterprise Digital Experimentation & Analytics (EDEA) in NYC to lead a team of talented professionals that drives acquisition growth and revenue, and premium differentiated experiences based on customer needs via performing analytics and experimentation, optimizing and innovating digital user experiences, and building strong partnerships with Product, UXR, Marketing, Servicing and Technology.

EDEA team enables the world’s best digital experiences for acquisition, onboarding & servicing through analytics & experimentation. It supports key digital products (Homepage, Card Shop, MGM, Apply, Onboarding, MYCA: Web & App, Push channels) across Global Consumer, Global Commercial and Digital Servicing business units.

This role will report to the VP of Enterprise Digital Experimentation & Analytics for Acquisition Experiences, and focus on US Commercial portfolio. The successful candidate is expected to exhibit expertise in understanding and delivering strong acquisition outcomes, and drawing meaningful insights and guiding strategy through analytics, reporting and experimentation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide thoughtful leadership, vision and direction to the team and key stakeholders. Lead projects/work streams to derive and action winning insights for Acquisition Experiences that optimize acquisition outcomes and drive excellent customer experience
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts, fostering their growth in technical skills, analytical thinking, storytelling and design of experiments. Create positive and productive team environment. Effectively teach, coach, and develop team members, as appropriate
  • Help increase acquisition across our digital assets
  • Define and build key KPIs to monitor the digital health and success
  • Support the development of new products and capabilities
  • Deliver readout of new launches uncovering insights and learnings that can be utilized to further optimize the experience
  • Gain deep functional understanding of the enterprise-wide product capabilities and associated platforms over time and ensure analytical insights are relevant and actionable
  • Craft compelling data-driven stories that distill complex analytics into clear, impactful insights for diverse audiences, including senior leaders and marketing partners, to champion winning digital experiences
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify KPIs, prioritize experimentation opportunities and deliver actionable recommendations
  • Identify and understand trends and activities in the external market/industry and impact to AMEX

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong Leader and Data-Driven Strategist with a tremendous will-to-win
  • Post graduate Degree in analytics, business, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering or finance
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant analytics experience with a background in quantitative business analysis and statistical and modeling techniques; experience in digital analytics preferred
  • Proven experience of leading analytics teams and working on data integrations with partners, with a track record of consistently delivering results though developing advance analytics and platforms
  • Superior problem-solving/decision making skills
  • Excellent teamwork and thought leadership skills with experience collaborating with partners across the globe
  • Strategic and analytical orientation - numerical with forecasting, plus financial acumen to drive business analyses
  • · Excellent oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong storytelling skills to communicate findings effectively to different audiences

Salary Range: $150,000.00 to $225,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
