As a director of executive media, you will align the social and digital-first brand positions, strategies, and initiatives for the SCAD president and all executive media needs by creating engaging visual content and dynamic media. Collaboration between the Savannah and Atlanta executive media teams, including producers, editors, and writers, is crucial to develop compelling content. You will research, develop, and design strategically conceptualized visual content for digital platforms and public speaking engagements as directed by the SCAD president, while updating current projects. This includes anticipating content needs, testing strategies, and communicating to share test results. Your responsibilities will also include brand conceptualization for social series as well as photo/video direction and idea evaluations from creative, digital strategy, and production perspectives.

This role involves cross-functional work with multiple creative teams to ensure SCAD-wide content alignment and success. Collaborating to plan and implement all requested productions is essential for each project. In this position, you will strategically create and identify on-camera communications, such as PR and marketing opportunities, for the SCAD president to share upcoming events. This content draws from current social media platforms, press outlets, and partnerships with other content distribution platforms. Additionally, you will serve as an on-site producer for live events, interviews, walk-throughs, and other presidential opportunities. You will also lead special projects that require immediate attention and focused dedication outside your responsibilities.

In this position, you will translate and apply leading industry practices to SCAD projects to ensure the production of cutting-edge content. Responsibilities include the implementation of requested productions for the department alongside staff and oversight of pre-production tasks, such as location scouting, crew coordination, research and talent preparation, location management, travel logistics, media management, releases and clearances, archival acquisitions, story production, and asset coordination. You will manage project progress, including budgets, timelines, production and post-production approvals, and delivery. Among other duties, you will stay current on industry trends, tools, platforms, and procedures.

The ideal candidate possesses impeccable interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. They can motivate staff to convey SCAD's vision and values while demonstrating honesty and confidence during interviews and networking opportunities with high-profile artists, students, and faculty members. The candidate can manage demanding requests and remain flexible enough to accommodate the president's and SCAD guests' last-minute schedule changes. As a direct representative of the office of the president, the candidate must consistently exhibit professionalism in appearance and demeanor. They must continuously seek inspiration and offer recommendations to maintain SCAD's digital-first creative initiatives, visual content, social media presence, and event promotion at the quality expected from a leader in the art and design community.
