The Role

Are you passionate about driving finance forward with the latest digital innovations? Join Fidelity Investments as the Director of Finance in the Business Analysis group to lead the automation of key processes. Collaborate with Finance Management Technology partners and cross-functional teams, reporting directly to the VP of Finance. Make a meaningful impact by transforming core processes with a digital-first mindset. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for business analysis with a data customer-centric business mindset and with experience using multiple datasets across many of our different data ecosystems including both workplace and our retail businesses.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on:

  • Leading the charge in data discovery and analysis, business requirements exploration, systems improvements, data consumption processes, and reporting.
  • Driving the modernization of our Finance function and transforming how our associates perform their roles.
  • Collaborating with a team of business analysts to constantly improve our business processes focused on ongoing business enhancements

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Your extensive background and expertise in the Business Analysis space will enable you to excel in this role, particularly:

  • Proven ability to elicit and translate business needs into detailed requirements.
  • Critical thinking, testing hypotheses, questioning assumptions, and offering innovative insights.
  • Willingness to learn complex financial systems and multi-dimensional reporting tools (e.g., Oracle, Anaplan, Snowflake, Power BI).
  • Proficiency in cross-enterprise collaboration in an agile, client-centric, fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with various collaborators across different levels of the organization.
  • Excellent consulting and customer engagement skills.
  • Ability to help users accomplish test scenarios and facilitate communication between the end user and technology teams.
  • Outstanding analytical skills to break down complex questions and data into well-structured analyses.
  • Proficient in handling challenging projects spanning across various teams with autonomy and influence.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify trends.
  • Expertise in synthesizing data and trends to develop key insights and storylines that help to effectively connect with leaders.
  • Experience with Agile methodology preferred.
  • Proficiency in coordinating sophisticated projects across teams, displaying influence and autonomy amidst changing priorities and timelines.
  • Proficiency in FBSI, FPRS, and other Transfer Agent systems is advantageous.
  • An undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting, MIS, or Liberal Arts, complemented by a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in business analysis with a specific emphasis on data analysis/exploration. Having an MBA or similar experience is considered a positive attribute.

The Team

The Enterprise Finance Shared Services team aids the business by gathering requirements, testing improvements, rolling out changes, and providing analytical support for strategic projects. We enhance Finance operations using Agile methodologies, collaborating with project management and tech partners to implement new tools and processes.
