The Role

The Director of Product brings an innovative perspective to product development and management, with a passion for applying emerging technologies to new business problems. This role involves working directly with users, listening to their feedback and helping inform product features and iterative development. This early-stage business venture is focused on a generative artificial intelligence platform designed to improve the efficiency of research and analysis in investment workflows.
The Director is also committed to developing their own expertise and knowledge in the related subject matter including software development, investment research and data science and to empower other team members with that knowledge. They collaborate with design, technology, and data science teams to achieve shared objectives that improve business and user outcomes.
The Expertise & Skills You Bring
- Experience in financial services in business analysis, product management, or investment research.
- Experience across the product development lifecycle, including business analysis, user research, use case development, business process mapping, story writing, advocating for requirements, user acceptance testing and product documentation.
- Experience leading customer relationships, working with end users, analyzing user feedback, and addressing customer requests.
- Exposure to financial market research, including security analysis, investment strategies, and economic analysis relevant to institutional investors.
- Experience as an investment analyst, quantitative researcher, or portfolio research professional within an institutional asset manager, hedge fund, or investment bank, covering equity and/or fixed income strategies is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with which you build and grow strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrates empathy and understanding in interactions with team members and clients.
- Exhibits patience and diplomacy when addressing challenges and conflicts.
- Encourages open communication and transparency within the team.

- Ability to translate complex investment research, data, or analytics into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritized roadmaps aligned with the needs of portfolio managers, traders, and researchers.

The base salary range for this position is $126,000-255,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
