The Role

As key members of the Wealth Management and Advisory team we are responsible for partnering with distribution partners to develop, implement and support the diverse set of investment solutions to Fidelity Institutional intermediary clients. We are fortunate to contribute to Fidelity’s rapidly growing advice business and capabilities with focus on advice solutions offered to advisors, home offices, and family offices through managed offerings including model portfolios, separately managed accounts, unified managed accounts and technology capabilities and tools. This role will be responsible for supporting the development and management of Fidelity’s FMAX platform.

The Director, Managed Platform Product Manager will support the implementation and ongoing support of Fidelity Institutional’s FMAX offerings with the following core responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates deep institutional knowledge of the Envestnet UMP platform to support FMAX and MAS.

  • Manage and resolve inquiries related to managed platforms received via email and Microsoft Teams, ensuring timely and effective support.

  • Participate in product lifecycle process design and requirements definition to deliver on FMAX product roadmap

  • Resource for FMAX subject matter expertise and product oversight, product policies, and business acceptance.

  • Provide overall product management support for FMAX and drive resolution of client experience issues, business risks and process impediments

  • Engage in data/information gathering and analysis to inform FMAX product strategy and product development activities.

  • Liaison to distribution partners to gather feedback and provide support for an enhanced client experience

  • Communicate investment philosophy, process, resources and results to internal partners and will work closely with product professionals across Fidelity's distribution channels to support product positioning, product marketing, and product development.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • BS degree required.

  • Ten plus (10+) years of financial services experience, preferably in product management, product development, or product strategy roles.

  • Knowledge of managed accounts and, technology architecture, and trading practices

  • Working experience with TAMP offerings and product development

  • Demonstrates deep institutional knowledge of the Envestnet UMP platform to support FMAX.

  • Solid understanding of the Financial Intermediary marketplace and all aspects of a brokerage offering, the competitive landscape of the managed accounts industry, and familiarity with Fidelity products and services

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required ensuring analyses are thoroughly vetted and sound

  • Perform data analysis to identify critical client insights, recognize product usage trends and uncover opportunities for improving process efficiencies for our clients

  • Interpersonal and Influencing skills are critical along with a proven track record of successfully engaging with all levels of management across multiple business units

  • Communication skills and the ability to clearly, concisely and persuasively present sophisticated proposals, issues and arguments, both in writing and verbally

  • Project management skills required to successfully drive projects across the company and run critical dependencies. Knowledge of agile working models is preferred

  • Work collaboratively across the Fidelity Enterprise and possess strong influence management skills while maintaining productive long-term working relationships

  • Manage internal and external communications related to assigned product responsibilities
