Job Description

The Marketing Technology team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, accountable for the technical design and configuration, implementation, and optimization of our marketing automation solutions on the SFMC platform. This role requires a deep understanding of SFMC's architecture, a strong background in AMPscript, SSJS, SQL, and API integrations, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. The Specialist will mentor junior developers, promote best practices, and ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our SFMC initiatives.

The Expertise You Have

  • Proven experience as a specialist on complex SFMC projects
  • Strong experience with SFMC's core modules, including Journey Builder, Content Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Cloud Pages
  • Expert-level proficiency in AMPscript, Server-Side JavaScript, and SQL
  • Experience with Responsive HTML/CSS and JavaScript for web and email clients
  • Experience with REST/JSON API clients
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud data models
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 4 years in SFMC
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Experience with other Salesforce Clouds (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud)
  • Diverse knowledge of other programming languages, platforms and tools

  • Leadership: Coach a technical team to design, develop and support complex SFMC solutions. Guide the team to make decisions based on long-term view of trends, issues and business implications.
  • Best Practices & Governance: Influence and promote development standards, coding best practices, and technical governance to ensure the quality, security and long-term maintainability of solutions.
  • Solution Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical designs following system-design best practices.
  • Data Management: Oversee data model integrity, efficiency, usage limits, and data security within SFMC.
  • Mentorship & Training: Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting. Provide solutions to both immediate and long-term issues.
  • Business Impact: Enhance business processes by developing or introducing breakthrough products, services, processes, or technological advancements with measurable business value.

Technically creative and nimble, this team is known for creating innovative user-friendly solutions based on complex business requirements from business stakeholders across the organization.
