
Director, Outreach and Training
The Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) is seeking applicants for a full-time Director in the Outreach & Training Department. This position reports to the Associate Executive Director of Outreach, Training, & Events and will be headquartered in IASB’s Lombard office.
Position Summary: The Outreach & Training Director position is responsible for the development, administration, and implementation of the IASB division program in assigned divisions; development and delivery of school board governance training to member school boards; and outreach, engagement, and relationship-building with IASB membership,
Education and/or Experience Requirements: The Outreach & Training Director position requires a bachelor’s degree; with school board member, education and/or professional training or facilitation experience a plus. Candidates should possess exceptional organizational abilities and communication skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work independently and take initiative to start and finish projects on required deadlines. Additional skills include public speaking; planning and conducting programs, workshops, and meetings; and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
The employee must have a valid Illinois drivers’ license and a vehicle; mileage and reasonable travel reimbursement will be provided.
This position requires the employee to be able to be able to lift, move, and safely handle boxes and materials up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions of the position.
The position offers an annual salary of $70,000 – $99,000, with a generous benefits package that includes holidays, vacation and sick time, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, and retirement benefits. Position will be eligible for Hybrid work after 90 days of employment.
