The Role
The Director, Plan Consulting role. It’s a strategic leadership position focused on enhancing the customer experience related to IRS Pre-Approved Document creation, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration, process optimization, and compliance.
Role Overview
Primary Focus: Oversee Plan Consultants who support document and ERISA compliance for 401(k)/403(b) plans.
Scope: All Workplace Investing (WI) markets, including TEM.
Key Partnerships: Legal, Implementation PMs, Client Relationship Managers, Sales.

Draft key objectives, strategies and apply the data to make business decisions
Accountable for the Plan Consulting process, delivering in the service model and communicating the service needs with business partners
Lead, manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, business partners and stakeholder management for The Plan Consulting process
Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with the Plan Consulting strategy.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree (required).
Management experience (multi-site teams preferred).
Agile methodology experience (preferred).
ASPPA designation (preferred).
Proven success in process improvement and escalation resolution.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
KPI management and risk mitigation.

The Team
The Plan Consulting team is part of the WI Implementation team within Workplace Investing (WI).
Client Support is offered all markets within WI.
Services include:
Primary Client Contact for IRS Preapproved Document Creation
Technical/data support for clients and partners.
Participation in assigned projects as required
Stakeholders include our clients (Plan Sponsors), Managing Directors (Fidelity Relationship Managers), Senior Management, Legal, and Associates across Implementation and Internal Business Partners.
The Director - Compliance will report to the Vice President of Volume Submitter Implementations.

ComplianceMost roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
