Role Summary
The Director, Investment Analytics – Private Credit is responsible for delivering high-impact, data-driven insights to NLG Capital’s private investment teams and Investment & Transaction Committees. This role serves as a central analytics partner across private credit markets, with accountability for the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of analytical and reporting capabilities covering asset origination, credit performance monitoring, and risk oversight.
Working closely with investment professionals, as well as partners in risk, finance, and technology, the Director will translate complex data into clear, decision-oriented insights. The ideal candidate brings deep familiarity with private credit (direct lending, ABL, structured credit) and strong quantitative, technical and communication skills required to bridge disciplines within an insurance asset manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with private investment teams to deliver actionable analytics across private credit asset classes, spanning origination, underwriting, portfolio performance, and risk monitoring
- Own and evolve the analytical and reporting architecture within private credit, including standardization of reporting, metrics, methodologies, and data across teams
- Drive automation and scalability of analytics and reporting processes, reducing manual workflows while increasing analytical depth and consistency
- Serve as a key analytics partner and facilitator to NLG Capital’s Private Credit Transaction Committee, supporting investment review, approval, and post-investment monitoring
- Lead the production of recurring monthly and quarterly reporting, including materials for senior leadership and Board-level audiences
- Translate complex portfolio and risk data into concise narratives and visualizations tailored to diverse stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with IT, data, and technology teams to leverage enterprise platforms and modern data infrastructure, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and appropriate controls
- Act as a subject-matter resource across investment teams on analytics, data interpretation, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications
- 7–10 or more years of professional experience in investment analytics, portfolio analytics, credit risk, quantitative analysis, or a related role with meaningful exposure to private assets (e.g., private credit, direct lending, ABL, structured credit)
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with investment professionals, risk, finance, and technology teams to design and deliver analytical solutions.
- Experience working with large datasets and investment systems; ability to translate raw data into decision-ready analytics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex analyses to senior management and investment committees.
- Working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting concepts.
- Advanced proficiency with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) and security / portfolio analytics systems (Intex, Aladdin).
- Familiarity with data pipelines, automation, and modern analytics workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience in an insurance or regulated asset-owner environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience with general purpose programming languages such as Python, SQL, Snowflake,
